Love to Climb

This photo was taken exactly one year ago of my son, then two years old, climbing around on a little table. He loves to climb and jump off of things. You can see it in his face with his grimace that he working hard to get up higher and loving it. I think most children feel compelled to climb.

The Moon and Venus in the Western Sky

Venus is so bright this time of year in the Western sky. I really wish I had a super zoom for these kind of photos. I only have a simple digital camera, nothing fancy, but it's still fun.

This first images is cropped to remove the space between the moon and Venus and to make the moon and Venus larger. The second image only has the sides cropped still showing the original distance between the moon and Venus.

I like robots and a couple years ago McDonalds had little windup WowWee (www.wowwee.com) robots along with their happy meals. So, with my kids, I got a couple of these robots. I don't think they put out very good toys in happy meals but these were some of the better ones eventhough they were not real robots.

This clock is in our kitchen. It goes well with the decor we have. My son loves clocks and wants to play with them. We won't let him play with this one though.

This image is of Yoda. One of my all time favorite movies is Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back where we meet Yoda, his voice being done by Frank Oz (1980). One of the best parts of the movie is when Yoda responds to Luke Skiwalker's wimpy whiny words "I'll give it a try." with "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try."

A Ground Beetle?

This is some kind of Ground Beetle. I don't know what kind exactly. It scared my kids which is always fun. He looked like he had some tough times because of a couple dents in his body. He was roaming on the main path of a hiking trail.

Odd Images Today

OK, so this image or photo is really not very odd or super spectacular but when you first look at it you have to wonder what it is. It is an image of a lamp shade. It was taken in the dark with the light bulb on behind it. It has a center glass piece that is darker than the rest. The glass pieces are all connected by a form of molding cement.
